What you'll do: 

  • Administer all employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Evaluate and recommend new benefits programs, services, and vendors to enhance the overall benefits package and meet the evolving needs of employees
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers, brokers, and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of benefits programs and resolve any issues that may arise. 
  • Actively engage in and contribute to monthly worship sessions during All Staff
  • Provide direct supervision to the Human Resources Specialist
  • Develop and maintain benefits-related policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in benefits regulations and industry trends, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers, brokers, consultants, and other vendors, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness
  • Manage benefits-related communications, including newsletters, announcements, and educational materials to promote employee understanding and engagement
  • Manage E-verify processes and to ensure compliance with E-verify requirements and guidelines, including proper record-keeping and documentation
  • Backup responsibilities include processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner using payroll software/systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
    • Process payroll adjustments, including retroactive pay, salary changes, and special payments
    • Verify payroll totals and resolve any discrepancies before finalizing payroll runs

Skills & Experience you’ve had:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage projects, and drive process improvements in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders
